Alexander Drecun is a Los Angeles-based photographer with a broad portfolio of work and skillsets that he would like to attribute to hard work, dedication, and diverse interests, but, if he’s being honest, is 87% luck. He has had hundreds of images of portraiture and photojournalism published, shot for architecture, interior design, and real estate development firms, and built an art practice around street photography and landscapes. He is also a camp kid, and twenty-six years ago he was named “Camper of the Decade” at the Sports Camp in Bellaire, TX, a high honor and one he places right up alongside his World Championship in bagpiping. Many of his favorite memories were made amid the running, jumping and swimming of camp, and he is excited to capture those same experiences for Tumbleweed’s campers.
